Setup your email configuration to work with Google Workspace Mail servers though your Siteworx client portal.

A number of corporate clients use 3rd party email servers like Google Workspace (formally G Suite) for their business email.

Below we have detailed how edit your mx records and turn off the email side of your Siteworx account on our servers.

1. You can login to your Siteworx account from either your client WHMCS portal or direct via the Siteworx URL.

Login with your email address and password provided when you signed up for your account.

2. Once logged in, scroll down to the EMAIL OPTIONS section.

3. Click on the Remote Setup icon. 

4. Next click on the disable icon (dark head and shoulders with a line through it.

5. You will next have to click on the purple 'Disable' Button.

6. You should now see the email account is disabled.

7. You now need to make changes to your DNS records. These changes make sure that your incoming email is directed to the correct Google Workspaces Servers.

8. While still logged into Siteworx, scroll back up to to the DNS Records section.

9. Click on the grey button 'View Records'

10. You should now be looking at your DNS records, these records are the glue to making your website visible and your email deliverable on the internet. 

11. We now need to add in some extra DNS records to allow your Google Workspace server to be found for the emails to be delivered correctly.

12. We next need to edit and add some extra MX records, add a TXT record and delete a SPF record.

13. First we will edit the existing MX record, and then add another 4 MX records as Google provide 5 MX records for Google Workspace.

14. First click on the pencil icon next to the existing MX record to edit, and update the following 4 record fields and change to suit your domain name.

host: example.com - TTL: 3600 - Preference Number: 1 - Mail Server: ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

Once you have updated the record fields, click on the purple button 'Save'

15. Next we need to add 4 new MX records,  in the drop down select MX and click on the purple button ‘Go’

16. Next we need to add the following to the 3 record fields and change to suit your domain name.

host: example.com - TTL: 3600 - Preference Number: 5 - Mail Server: ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

Once you have updated the record fields, click on the purple button ‘Save’

17. Next create another 3 MX records using the same process as step 16 with the following record details

host: example.com - TTL: 3600 - Preference Number: 5 - Mail Server: ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

host: example.com - TTL: 3600 - Preference Number: 10 - Mail Server: ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

host: example.com - TTL: 3600 - Preference Number: 10 - Mail Server: ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

You should end up with a DNS record showing 5 MX records for Google Workspace as shown below.

17. Next we carry out the same process for the SPF record, as before in section 13, we need to add a new record, this time it's a TXT file.

18. First we will add the TXT record, in the drop down select TXT and click on the purple button 'Go'

19. Next we need to edit the following the 3 record fields and change to suit your domain name.

host: example.com - TTL: 3600 - Text: v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all

Once you have updated the TXT record fields, click on the purple button 'Save'

20. Next we need to delete the existing SPF record as Google Workspace uses a TXT based file for this, to delete the file click on the trash can inline with the SPF record.

21. Your amended DNS record should look like the following.

22. All emails to your domain name will now be forwarded to your Google Workspace server.

14. Next we need to edit the following the 3 record fields and change to suit your domain name.

host: autodiscover.example.com - TTL: 3600 - Alias: autodiscover.outlook.com

Once you have updated the record fields, click on the purple button 'Save'

15. Next we carry out the same process for the MX record, only we edit the existing not add. To edit the exist record click on the pencil icon.

16. Next we need to edit the following the 4 record fields and change to suit your domain name.

host: example.com - TTL: 3600 - Preference Number: 0 - Mail Server: example-com.mail.protection.outlook.com

Once you have updated the record fields, click on the purple button 'Save'

Your DNS records so far should look like this, just one record to change.

Setup your E-Mail Aliases though your Siteworx client portal.

If you have a limited number of email addresses, you are able to create email aliases that forward emails from one account to another.

For example you could create email aliases for sales@example.com, support@example.com, john.smith@example .com and forward them all to a single forwarding email address.

Below we have details how easy it is to create email Aliases for your business.

1. You can login to your Siteworx account from either your client WHMCS portal or direct via the Siteworx URL.

Login with your email address and password provided when you signed up for your account.

2. Once logged in, scroll down to the EMAIL section.

3. Click on the Aliases icon. 

4. Next click on the purple square with the white cross on it.

5. Complete the required details, email address to forward from and email address to forward to.

6. Once all fields are complete, click on the purple button 'Add'

7. From here you can also update the email address forwarding by clicking on the pencil icon.

8. You can also delete the email Aliases from here if not longer required by clicking on the trash can.

9. All emails from sales@example.com will now be forwarded to youremail123@gmail.com.

Just change the example.com above for your domain name and the gmail account to your receiving email address.

4. Complete the required details, email address, password, Disk space quota.

5. You can use the purple button with a wand on to auto generate passwords if required.

6. Once all fields are complete, click on the purple button 'Add'

7. Repeat the process to create the emails address required for your business.

8. From here you can also update the email address password by clicking on the pencil icon.

9. You can also delete the email address from here if not longer required by clicking on the trash can.

10. You just need to add your details into your chosen E-mail client.

Username: sales@example.com

Password: <your password>

mail server: mail.example.com
